The standard collar: a clean insulating surface at the base of the probe — more conductivity where you want it, less where you do not. A consumable part; the collar takes the most twisting of any piece in the system.
Care: consumable part - inspect before every use, clean with warm water and dish soap, and follow the Care and Safety Instructions.
